Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed

"Make every effort to give yourself to God as the kind of person he will approve. Be a worker who is not ashamed and who uses the true teaching in the right way." - 2 Timothy 2:15 (CEV)

Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ!  The national Awana program has been in existence for 60 years, and Mount Zion's club is entering it's second year of helping prepare our young people for a lifetime of faith in God.

This school year, Mount Zion's Awana Club begins August 24.  If your child is in the same class he/she was in last year, the regstration fee is $10 and no new uniform will be needed.  Otherwise, the registration fee is $25 per child.  For more info, please contact Awana Commander Terrence Brimfield or Secretary Crystal Jackson.

Our Awana Classes

Cubbies (preschool) celebrates preschoolers' spiritual potential by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word.

Sparks (kindergarten to grade 2) teaches children about the people and events of the Bible. This builds a foundation of wisdom for knowing Jesus.

Truth & Training (grades 3 to 6) answers kids' key questions about God and the Bible, guiding them to grow in His grace.

Trek (middle school) challenges youth to consider their God-given destiny and pursue it by applying the Bible to their lives.

Journey (high school) leads students through an in-depth study of scripture. This motivates them to see life with God's perspective and to influence others.
